Kevin O’Leary’s change of mind on Crypto, NFT, and Blockchain
Kevin O’Leary is one of my most favorite investors/entrepreneurs from the globally well-known American Business reality television show “Shark Tank”. His style of dissecting a startup/business and finding the best investing opportunity is so old school. In a way, it’s a very classic kind of investing. And, I can’t love it enough. Because I’m old school too when it comes to investing and business.
He ensures to rip the entrepreneurs who come to him asking for funding in the show for their startup with the most logical and critical set of questions to give them a reality check about their business and its performance.
He is seen as the harshest shark in the show, but I just seem to love him for the good work that he is doing by telling people the truth about their startup/business.
Now, coming to the topic of this post. Kevin O’Leary has been one of the biggest voices against the world of Crypto for a very long time because of his decade-old investing style and approach.
But things changed drastically in the past couple of years, and now Mr. O’Leary is one of the leading big-name investors and promoters for Crypto, NFT, and Blockchain-based startups and platforms.
So, the question is what changed, and why Kevin O’Leary went from being not ok with Crypto to now investing and supporting it.
I’m going to discuss that here in this post, But before proceeding any further here is an official snippet about Mr. O’Leary to get a perspective about him.

Now, coming to the reason behind Mr. O’Leary’s change of mind about Crypto, NFT, and Blockchain.
He, in his own words, in the recent set of interviews with many major investing and business shows of America has said that “It’s because of the government/financial institutions regulation towards crypto”.
In this above-given paragraph, the word regulation does not mean the government controlling the crypto, but rather, coming up with a set of rules and methods for financial institutions to invest in crypto and crypto-based assets.
As an investor, Kevin O’Leary doesn’t like fighting with the government and law of the land, instead, he wants to work with them to create more investment-worthy opportunities.
Because Mr. O’Leary knows that such regulations legitimize the world of crypto and make it safe for big-size investment firms to make a move towards them.
And, that is basically the main reason for him going from being critical of crypto to now being bullish about not just Crypto, but also about NFT’s and Blockchain.
It was actually both exciting and surprising for me to see this transformation of Mr. O’Leary about crypto over the years. It has really given me a better perspective about the same.
Also, I think the real tangible growth for Crypto, NFT, and Blockchain will only come when these old-school and classic investors like Kevin O’Leary start investing in them. Because it gives these new investing opportunities a more stable flow of investment across the globe to be less volatile and grow fast in ways that were pretty much never before imagined.
As far as I can say, the Crypto and Blockchain concepts/projects/startups are moving in the best possible direction across the globe.
I just hope their growth will be constructive and productive to us humans while also leading us to the horizon of glory and prosperity.
